We are very proud of our latest publication, A Place Where Ireland Is Invisible, by poet and member of Aos Dána, James Harpur, with wood engravings by Paul Ó Colmáin.
In this remarkable collaboration between two of Ireland’s finest artists,
James Harpur and Paul Ó Colmáin have produced a book of wonders, a set of poems and artworks that imaginatively restore the lives of the Irish saints. Here are pages in which the human and divine, natural and supernatural, converge and interfuse into a realm which is recognisably Irish, but also a place beyond – where Ireland is invisible.

In A Place Where Ireland Is Invisible James Harpur has produced ‘a rich and fresh harvest, allowing the wonder-tales of Irish saints such as Brendan and Gobnait to shine in their own depth and simplicity. Paul Ó Colmáin’s varied and fluent wood engravings are marvellously complementary, adding fresh and sometimes surprising perspectives on the narrative. This is a beautiful book.’ Paddy Bushe
